  • Different impacts of social media and gaming on youth

Online course: Preventing problematic screen use

Content was developed by the Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS). Take the course for $39.99 or register for free as a CPS member.

This course provides evidence-informed guidance on the health impacts of screen media use for children and adolescents, with a focus on development, mental health, and psychosocial and physical effects.

Health care providers taking this course will be better able to guide families on appropriate screen time and use, help parents assess and change their own screen habits, and help them recognize and cope when their child or teen is having problems with screen-related behaviours.
